TIENS is derived from the
Chinese spelling Tianshi. "Health and wealth" constitute the theme of
TIENS' international expansion in the future, which marks Tianshi
Group's shift toward a global orientation and diversification at the
turn of the new century.
Internal slogan: Spread health and happiness all over the world!
Tianshi Group is a large-scale global
enterprise group. Since its establishment, it has maintained a continual,
stable, and rapid average annual growth rate of 170%. With its anchor
business in advanced biotechnology, Tianshi is also involved in
financing, real estate development, education, cultural exchanges, and
modern logistics. Headquartered at the Henderson Center in Beijing, its
production plants are located in the Wuqing New Technology Development
Zone of Tianjin. Its total assets in China are valued at RMB 2.1 billion.
Tianshi Group, incorporated in 1995, was preceded by Tianshi Economic
Development Co., Ltd., which was incorporated in 1992. The group started
to venture into the international market in early 1998, and is now a
participant in the global market place. As a result of seven years of
arduous efforts, Tianshi has diversified its production line from a
single product to various products, such as nutritional supplements,
general food commodities, and medical equipment, totaling nearly 200
products. Its business now covers 170 countries and regions worldwide
with branches rooted over 90 countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia,
and their surrounding regions. It has established extensive strategic
partnerships with more than 10 overseas enterprises in countries such as
the United States, Japan, Germany and Malaysia. In China, Tianshi has
registered wholly owned subsidiaries in 34 provinces and regions, with
1,800 outlets. Globally, Tianshi has seven million regular customers.
Based on its state-of-the-art biotechnology, Tianshi is committed to
instilling traditional Chinese medicine and regimens. The quality of its
products is further ensured by the importation of complete sets of
automated equipment from Germany, Italy and the United States, which
costs nearly RMB 100 million. The group obtained the ISO9001, 2000
authorization of the international quality system. All products
manufactured and distributed within the United States have passed the
quality tests of the FDA.

Currently an owner of two national patents, Tianshi has received
international honors and awards for many of its global-leading
production techniques. It has also been cited as the "Enterprise of
Highest Ecological Security in the world" by the United Nations.
Tianshi's strategic goal of globalization has been achieved through the
work of its high-caliber staff and its localized system of talent
management. HR management is characterized by a flexible performance
evaluation and incentive system. Among its technical employees, more
than 30% hold doctoral or masters degrees. Personnel management follows
the guidelines of "knowledge-orientation, system-orientation, reason-orientation,
and people-orientation". Worldwide, Tianshi has a managerial staff of
1,800, among whom 320 are non-Chinese. With a business philosophy of "serving
society by bringing health to man and serving China with industrial
development", Tianshi has paid the nation a total of RMB 650 million in
taxes, winning applause from various local governments as a major tax
paying company.
